My week is flying by, and there's no duty free catalog.
Noble Quest...
Words today & yesterday: 3,688
Words total: 43,487
Reason for stopping: Sleepy.
Favorite:

Weese's words piled out with an urgency I hadn't heard from him since before the ice temple. “Perret, remember when you asked me if I'd teach you how to do that light trick? And I said I couldn't?”

“Oh, you're going to teach me? Thanks, I always wanted to die in a brightly lit environment.”
Abusing my power: I put yeti in this story in a serious context. Yes, thank you, I'll be here all week.
It's aliiive!: Perret decided to play dead after a disaster so his companion would panic. Brat.
Embarrassment: “I could rip up my robe to make a robe,” he offered. It's just a one letter typo, but still.

43487 / 80000 words. 54% done!

...I'm beginning to doubt that 80K is a reasonable goal, and I'm behind schedule already. No more movie nights or "writing" at other people's houses until I finish! >:|

Damn! If there was an in flight catalog, you could waste money on a counter-top hot-dog roaster, or a magic gizmo that lets you play normal guitar as if it was guitar hero (just four buttons, and you too can be a rockstar!).

Approx what date would 80,000 put you at? Is 80,000 a "normal" book length? Like the Hardy boys or Nancy Drew? Or like that "cat burgler" guy?

When you need a break go look at my life's latest drama :/

80K is probably the size of a "cat burglar guy" book. (It's weird, I was just reading an e-mail about a limited edition book with his signature when I saw you'd commented!) 80K is short for a fantasy book, though, so it's all right if mine gets a little fat. It has about another 20K of stretching room before it reaches the longest I'd want it to be.

If I'd kept to schedule, 80K would have put me at August 15th as a finishing date. However, I cannot keep my schedule because I am an idiot. :)

I kind of wish it -was- rip up my robe to make a (smaller) robe, because that would be hilarious...

Thanks!

Hahaha! You know, maybe I'll turn my typo into him saying something he didn't mean to say. No one does that in stories! I might as well. It's my first draft and I'll do what I want!
